Who We Serve
Restore Hope answers to those in the Lexington community who are living their lives burdened by crippling hardships, and yet, see no option but to trudge through with what they have. Stifled by illness, zero family support, medical debt, disability, or the blessing of old age; these individuals see no way out of the adversity they face, and accept it as a fact of life.
As they adapt to the dim misfortune of hardship, they often disappear in plain sight and fade into the backdrop of our community. We bring light back to those who have grown accustomed to the dimness, showing that they have not been forgotten and that there is a reason to have hope and faith once again.

Who We Are
Restore Hope unites businesses and volunteers to uplift people through essential home improvements, transforming not just homes but lives. Rooted in faith and compassion, the organization fosters a community of service, driven by the belief that helping others honors a higher purpose. Since 2017, Restore Hope has been guided by the conviction to serve neighbors and extend God’s love through tangible acts of kindness.
It began with local service projects organized by Ryan Holland. The inaugural project, revitalizing Cove Haven Cemetery, brought together volunteers from diverse backgrounds—faith communities, local organizations, and individuals—to clean over 10,000 headstones and clear the grounds. Ryan saw firsthand the unifying power of service, as people from all walks of life formed meaningful connections. This experience inspired him to build a growing network of volunteers united by a shared mission.
As the community’s needs became clearer, Restore Hope shifted its focus from public projects to addressing unsafe living conditions for people. Though the team had limited home improvement experience, their faith guided them, and today, Restore Hope is a trusted partner in providing safe, healthy homes for Lexington residents.
Guided by the Restore Hope Board—community leaders like Josh McCurn, Olivia Wilhoit, Ka’Sondra Brown, and Madeleine Kissinger—the organization continues to grow, ensuring its mission of compassionate service reaches even greater heights.
